About the Survey
The Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program promotes the reporting of quality information by eligible professionals using performance-based payment adjustments. CAHPS for MIPS counts in the quality performance category score as a patient experience measure as part of the QPP (Quality Payment Program).
Who's Required to Complete the Survey?
If you are an eligible group or virtual group, CAHPS for MIPS data collection and reporting are optional for 2025. If you want to participate, you must register for MIPS participation by 6/30/25.
If you are a Shared Savings Program (SSP) ACO, CAHPS for MIPS data collection and reporting is required for 2025. You do not need to register for CAHPS for MIPS.
Both groups need to authorize a vendor by 9/11/25
Partnering with PRC
PRC is a fully approved survey vendor for the CAHPS for MIPS Survey. We ensure expert survey administration with a team consisting of experts with over 20 years of experience within the company. For sites that choose to work with PRC, participation reports will be provided throughout data collection, and unofficial results will be provided once data collection is complete; PRC will also provide client partners with reports to show participation and guide improvement. PRC additionally conducts customized versions of the CG-CAHPS survey which can be used for primary and specialty care sites. Please contact us for options for year-round ongoing measurement.
